I’m thrilled to introduce Matt Hodges, our new Market Strategist & Wealth Manager here at Napier Financial. Matt brings 15 years of experience in financial services, and after just a short time here, it’s already clear he’s the kind of advisor who makes every client feel like the only one in the room.
Prior to joining us, Matt founded and ran Dreamfield Planning Group, following advisory roles at Sconset Wealth Management (Northwestern Mutual in Boston) and Delphinus Financial Advisors. He’s spent his career building deep, lasting relationships with clients, and he’s equally energized about bringing more focus to markets and portfolio strategy, something he’s been passionate about for a long time.
Matt lives in Milton, Massachusetts with his wife, Allie, and their son, Ben. He’s originally from Arkansas and also spent years in the DC area before settling in Massachusetts. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him traveling (he and Allie just celebrated their 20th anniversary with a trip to Ireland, complete with a stop at the Cliffs of Kerry), reading history, playing guitar, or out on a long walk with the family dog, Louie. Rounding out the household are two cats, Finn and Buddy the Elf.
Here’s a fun one for you. Ask Matt sometime about the bobblehead sitting on his desk, a parting gift from his former colleagues, that names him the “Fifth Beatle.” The nickname is a nod to legendary Beatles engineer George Martin, whose classical training let him bring orchestral arrangements to songs like “Yesterday” and “Eleanor Rigby,” making him so essential to the band’s sound that he earned the title himself. Matt has long used the story with planning clients to make a simple point: just like Martin, we want every client fully engaged in shaping their own plan, not just along for the ride.
Please join me in welcoming Matt to the team. It won’t take long to see why we’re so glad he’s here.
