Last week was school vacation in Massachusetts. We enjoyed a staycation in the Nap household filling each day with a different adventure on the South Shore; Trampoline parks, indoor jungle gym’s, arcades, birthday parties, pizza and ice cream, movies, plans with cousins and friends, sledding – you name it, we enjoyed it! My wife, Jenna, is a saint – she handled the brunt of it while I was back and forth in the office. The kids had a blast, and we almost escaped without anyone getting sick… almost. It grazed us at the tail end of the week, but everyone is back in action.

The real treat is still forthcoming – we embark on Sunday for a four-day cruise with the Gray’s (Jenna’s Family) that departs from Ft. Lauderdale and spends a few days in the Bahamas. In preparation, the kids are listening to island tunes, drawing pictures of palm trees, and even making plans to redecorate their rooms in an island theme (why not?!)

While the kids had an amazing time last week, we are REALLY going to appreciate feeling the warm sun on our skin next week. May you be fortunate enough to also take a break in the coming weeks. New Englanders are hardy, but we could all use a bit of Vitamin D right about now.
