Spring is here, it can be a fleeting sensation given the still hovering above raw temperatures. But when you feel the warmth of the sun and see the daffodils, tulips and hyacinth popping up, it sure is a reassuring and optimistic feeling. Personally, I think spring has a stronger ‘fresh start’ feel than New Years.

Tessa is probably the most excited for warmer days. She loves to go outside and wave to the flowers, mailboxes and literally every single soul passing by in a vehicle or on foot. I have made more acquaintances and learned almost all the dogs’ names in our neighborhood due to her insistence to greet everyone. Most people (thankfully) are happy to oblige an 18-month-old who is frantically gawking and waving at them like Buddy the Elf.

Keeping Tessa busy outside is a challenge. If left to her own devices, she will happily try to eat anything, or uproot the most beautiful spring flower she can find- a pretty simple kid. Resorting to the tried-and-true kid activities, (which I haven’t done in so long, I don’t even remember the last time I did them) such as sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, and digging in the yard- are big hits with her. Somethings really don’t change!

And some things do change! Our office renovation is rounding the corner and we will look forward to hosting you at our refreshed digs this spring. Tessa is also going to be a big sister. Yup, baby number 2 is due in the Fall.
