Our Jimmy Fund Golf tournament we hold every year is truly something special. Yesterday was a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy a great day of golf, and most importantly, raise money for cancer research. This year, collectively, we raised over $119,000!!! Which puts Napier’s lifetime raise for the Jimmy fund at over $650,000!!
What makes the event so meaningful is the unwavering support we receive from so many different people, from so many different walks of life, all united by the same purpose: helping patients, families, and researchers in the fight against cancer. Year after year, the generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment surrounding this tournament are inspiring. It reminds us that when a community comes together, we can make a real and lasting difference.
We had a lot of fun yesterday, even as the fall weather started entering into New England. Some of the highlights from the day:
- I got to serve cocktails on the green – riding in the bar cart did not disappoint.
- John held down the fort on hole 18 with the air cannon.
- We had a special Guest appearance from Tove (who got her own shot at the Air Cannon)!
- Far more of you hit the inflatable bullseye on the chipping green than we expected!
- We got to host our first tournament at Indian Pond Country Club, which was an incredible venue for the day.
- Our goal of $100,000 was surpassed – funds that will go straight to early stage research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
- We honored our good friends Mike and Patti Aizenstadt, who were there in spirit.
